Megan and Drew met at a Salsa class, falling in love "very quickly." Megan, with a Mexican heritage, wanted to bring her background and culture to be a part of her wedding day. She orchestrated a five-piece mariachi band to play for the cocktail hour, followed by music by Platinum Music Productions as the DJ, "who was proficient in choosing Latin songs," the couple's wedding planner, Nina Banks, says.

Megan chose bright colors to express her culture with shades of red, green, pink and peach, coming through the floral bouquets, cake, bridesmaid dresses and even the the bride's shoes and jewelry, as well as the groom's tie and boutonniere.

Megan and Drew's ceremony processionals were mostly traditional beginning with the seating of the mothers to “Here Come’s the Bride” followed by “Say You Won’t Let Go” for the wedding party. The bride walked down the aisle to the song "Married Life" (wedding version). All processionals were performed by Paul Hankinson.

The couple danced their first dance to "Bendita tu Luz (Bachata Version)" by Maná.  For the welcome party, Megan's mother, Lourdes, sang "a sweet song" in Spanish as the guests followed along with translations printed in English at each table.

Following the remaining special dances, the couple carried out what is called "The Sea Snake Dance," a type of special dance traditionally performed during Mexican wedding receptions. The bride and groom stood on chairs holding each end of Megan's bridal veil while wedding guests held hands and moved underneath them, snaking through the arch in a figure-eight. The music they chose for the dance was "La Vibora de la Mar" by Los Kachorrillos de Tijuana. This was done under the stars after the glass roof was retracted.

"I want to give future couples the confidence to celebrate their heritage, even on their wedding day," Banks says. "Drew and Megan's love and respect for each other is beautifully radiant!"
