Real Columbus Wedding: Paige and Auggie Heschmeyer Share Their Special Moments

The two wed at the Club at Corazón in Dublin, a Tuscan-style event venue transporting couples to an Italian countryside right here in Ohio.

The story: “We are a Tinder success story!” Paige and Auggie Heschmeyer say. Paige was late to their first date at Wine on High in the Short North, and Auggie never lets her live it down. “We met again for our second date just a few days later,” the couple says.

On their first Christmas morning together in their new home, Auggie proposed. Paige opened “a big box” only to find a much smaller box inside. Upon opening the box, Auggie asked, “Will you marry me, sweetie?” And Paige cried before saying, “Yes!”

The wedding: The two wed at the Club at Corazón in Dublin, a Tuscan-style event venue transporting couples to an Italian countryside right here in Ohio. For the ceremony, the couple held a traditional Polish salt, bread and wine ceremony as a nod to the groom’s side of the family, as well as a traditional Gaelic/Scottish hand-fasting as a nod to the bride’s side.

The couple says some special moments from their wedding include having a first look with both the bride and groom, as well as the father of the bride getting all of their guests to join in on some polka dancing and stating their personal vows aloud to one another.

“Having a small enough gathering that we got to have fun with all invited” was especially memorable, the couple says.

Paige and Auggie honeymooned afterward in Provincetown, MA.
