Real Columbus Wedding: Audrey and Justin Jordan's Beach Proposal and Endearing Wedding
The couple met on their first day of college at Otterbein University, starting out as friends. After a sunset proposal, they vacationed at Disneyland.

The story: Justin and Audrey met on their first day of college at Otterbein University in 2013. Justin was promptly “friend-zoned” by Audrey until her senior year when Justin kissed her after a toga party on campus.
They began dating shortly after, which led to their current love story.
The proposal: Justin proposed to Audrey on Malibu Beach near the pier on Oct. 13, 2021, when the two were vacationing in California together. Justin was nervous to arrive in Los Angeles and drive through traffic at “exactly the right time” (golden hour) to meet with the photographer he had been planning with for months, while Audrey was more concerned with the wrinkles in her dress to notice her soon-to-be fiancé's state of panic.
They eventually made it to the beach, where Audrey said “yes” to Justin’s important question.
The next day, the couple strutted through Disneyland sharing the news with anyone who would listen, including Gaston from "Beauty and the Beast." The couple highly recommends having what they refer to as an "engagement vacation."
The wedding: The two married at North Bank Pavilion in early fall 2022, with a beautiful and distinctive color palette of black, dark green and blush pink, celebrating the ceremony on the terrace and reception inside.
As a special and sentimental touch for the wedding, Audrey's bridesmaids and close family members wore temporary lavender tattoos to honor the bride's aunt who had passed just a few months prior. Lavender also happens to be the groom's mother's maiden name.
“Everyone in attendance stated their favorite moment was watching the groom react to his bride walking down the aisle,” the couple says. “He sobbed as soon as he laid eyes on her,” guests commented, to which Audrey laughs as her plan to blow him away “worked flawlessly.”
The two honeymooned in London, Paris and New York City after the wedding.
