Rockmill Brewery Headed to Auction; Brioso Barista Honored for Latte Art

According to court documents and the listing on Auction Ohio’s site, Rockmill Brewery outside Lancaster is up for auction. New operators Austin Caulk and Taylor Scribner have been running the brewery since 2023 while attempting to purchase the property before it headed into foreclosure. Haley Henderson, barista and head of retail operations for Brioso Coffee, recently took home first place in the Latte Art World Championship Open at the Coffee Fest in New York City. Operating since 1992, Coffee Fest is one of the top trade shows for the specialty coffee industry.

In anticipation of the arrival of Ray Ray’s Hog Pit new food truck (which opens March 19), Mexpress Taqueria food truck will leave the Bottle Shop after today and move to 734 Garden Road in Clintonville, behind Savor Pint.

After an extended hiatus, Auddino’s Italian Bakery has brought back production of their popular doughnuts. This includes their signature “doughssant,” a fried and glazed croissant that it has been producing since the 1990s. Auddino’s is located at 1490 Clara St., close to the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

The Capitol Café in the lower level of the Ohio Statehouse is now being operated by Feed Your Soul Catering. It’s open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The latest edition of the Souper Heroes potluck fundraiser is this Saturday, March 16 at the Worthington Farmers Market from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can sign up to bring a crockpot of soup, while guests enjoy the soups in exchange for donations to the Worthington Resource Pantry. The farmers market is currently indoors at the Shops at Worthington Place.
